CITE is housed in a sprawling campus in the outskirts of Rourkela, the education hub of Odisha. The campus has been designed to provide great learning infrastructure and also houses excellent facilities that complement the learning environment.
Library plays a vital role in the dissemination of Knowledge and Information in an academic institution. CITE has recognized the importance of the academic vibrations required in the library and has been growing in this direction, right from its very inception. The library is equipped with a Reference section which could accommodate around 500 students, a Digital library, an Audio Visual Section, a Journal Section, a conference room, a Research Scholar’s Section, a Newspaper and Magazine Section, and a Reprography Section.
Our Workshop has undertaken efforts to reorganize, modernize and prepare it for continuously changing global manufacturing scenario. Efforts are also on to prepare students for a broader view of manufacturing which involves planning and deploying optimum ways to transfer raw material into goods by integration of people, capital, processes, systems and enterprised to deliver products of value to the society.
CITE has state-of-the-art computer labs to cater to students so that every student can keep abreast with IT enhanced learning programmes. They gain proficiency and dexterity in current technology with optimized supportive infrastructure with the latest hardware and software and a team of extremely competent staff. CITE is committed to a progressive and evolving approach to ensure that our students have the advantage of being familiar with up to date technology advances in IT based educational initiatives.
A well-managed fleet of buses covers all major routes within the city to provide commutation services between the college and the students’ residence.
The Institute provides separate accommodation for boys and girls. Students seeking admission into CITE have to apply for accommodation arrangements at the time of admission.
CITE's Canteen is a vibrant student friendly place: it fits perfectly for college students because of the casual ambience and affordable prices. It looks more like a restaurant where students, staff members and visitors have various menu options like Chinese, north Indian, south Indian, continental, and fast food from proper main courses to casual knickknacks like Maggie, burgers, wraps, momos etc.
I have taken up Diploma in the institute. The teaching is very good. The teachers make sure the concepts are well explained and give proper guidance to anyone who is facing any trouble.
